National Dog Sledding Season Begins!

Saturday April 1st saw the first of several National Dog Sled Competitions, with nearly the whole town out in attendance.

It was a clear day out on the ice, with hundreds of people forming a train down to the start line to see the participants take off in the first of several exciting races taking place in Aasiaat this April. The sound of the dogs echoed all over town, heralding what is turning out to be an exciting season!
