High speed travel during winter in Greenland’s past was a dream yet to materialize, but with the invention of the snow mobile, transport between Greenland’s settlements during this harsh time of year has become a possibility.

 

The way the snowmobile revolutionized transport in Greenland is easily apparent, and it’s not uncommon in Aasiaat to see the locals riding a snowmobile to work or the supermarket.

 

The Experience

Enjoy wintertime in Greenland with its Arctic landscapes from the back of a snowmobile.  Dash through the snow, relish the ceaseless freedom, explore new paths through the unbridled wilderness.  Your local guide will ride with you, as you sprint through Aasiaat’s vast terrain, uncovering paths only a local would know to go.

 

Choose between a two or four hour adventure, the first will take you through Aasiaat’s stunning surroundings, the latter is considered our cross-islands adventure, where you can explore many islands in the Disko Bay area.  Feel the wind through your hair and see further in a few hours than was imaginable for Greenland 100 years ago.
